State-of-the-art voice pedagogy tends to rely too much on trial-and-error methods and imitation of the teacher's voice as perceived by the student. Diagnostic approaches need to be researched, providing means to objectively describe voice-related phenomena, based on knowledge about the physiologic and physical background of voice production. It is my goal to contribute to the scientific foundation of voice pedagogy and its tradition, in order to arrive at optimized teaching strategies.
